Depending on where you live and subject to legal exceptions, you may have rights to know about or access personal information, correct inaccuracies, delete eligible information, obtain a portable copy, or opt out of certain sale, sharing, targeted-advertising, or profiling uses. You may also have a right to limit certain uses of sensitive personal information or appeal a decision on a request. These rights and their definitions vary by state.
Signed in? Use your account and privacy settings to download a JSON copy of account-linked records or schedule a deletion rights request. A scheduled request has a 14-day cooling-off period and can be canceled there before operator review begins. A due request is handled through a manual review. Scheduling, review, and workflow closure do not by themselves prove that data was deleted or cancel Paddle billing.
For corrections, records not linked to your signed-in account, accounts you cannot access, authorized-agent requests, or any other applicable right, use the configured privacy contact at privacy@getscamcheck.com. In your message, tell us:
Do not send us your password, one-time code, authentication link or token, complete payment-card details, government identification, medical records, or other unnecessary sensitive information. If we need additional information, we will explain what is needed and how to provide it securely.
Before acting on a request, we may need to verify that you are the person whose information is involved. We may compare the information in your request with our records or ask you to confirm control of the associated account or email address. The verification we request will be proportionate to the sensitivity of the information and the risk of harm from unauthorized access or deletion.
Information collected for verification is used for verification, security, fraud prevention, and compliance. If we cannot reasonably verify a request, we may be unable to fulfill all or part of it and will explain the decision where required. We generally do not ask for government identification; if exceptional circumstances require stronger verification, we will explain why and provide a secure method.
An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf through the configured privacy contact above. The agent should identify you, describe the request, and provide evidence of signed permission or other lawful authority. We may contact you directly to confirm the request and your identity, unless a valid power of attorney or applicable law provides otherwise.
We will respond within the period required by applicable law. If the law permits additional time, we will provide notice and the reason for the extension. Some information may be exempt from a request, including records that must be kept for security, fraud prevention, billing, legal compliance, or the rights of others.
If we deny your request and your state gives you a right to appeal, reply to our decision or email a privacy request appeal. Identify the original request and explain why you believe the decision should be reconsidered. We will review and respond to the appeal as required by applicable law.
We will not unlawfully discriminate or retaliate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right. Exercising some rights may affect features that require the information you ask us to delete, but we will explain any lawful service impact.
For more information about our data practices, read the Privacy policy.
